Spin-Off's 2018 winter issue is out and in it you'll be able to find an article exclusively devoted to Portuguese Wool! I'm very happy with this piece, not only because I consider it to be the first presentation of Portuguese Wool to a wider international audience, but also because it was based on an extense research work that is almost concluded.
The book will be out very soon. Finally.
In the meanwhile, you can read the article here.

If you got to Saber Fazer recently, you may not know that we have been working on an extensive research work about wool from our autochtonous breeds that started back in 2015. Our goal was to create knowledge about this local resource, its characteristics, and potential.
We gathered samples from all 16 breeds and processed them all to yarn andwoven, knitted and felted samples. We also did an extense research on the context and recent history of each breed and we already started to offer workshops exclusively on this subject, as way of spreading this information.
The final goal is the publication of the Guide on Portuguese Wool that should be out very soon. If you'd like to be updated about this, you can subscribe the newsletter.
