The true cost of what we wear

This documentary is a must-see. It took me a few months to get around to watch it, because the trailer made it look like a compilation of stock footage simply edited to prove a point, but I was wrong.
It gathers and makes the connection is between all the social, economical and environmental problems of the industry that, today, manages to be the biggest promoter of slave labour, the second most pollutant industry in the world and, on top of that, destroy the economy of those countries that receive our "generous donations" of what we don't want to wear anymore - the textile industry.
After watching it, the idea of restarting the production of local textile fibers, in a environmental conscious way, using qualified and valued labour, doesn't seem as eccentric as before, but more of a path that we'll have to inevitably take, sooner or later.
