Saber Fazer has a new online shop!
When I'm silent for a long time, that's usually because I'm "cleaning up the house", and that's always a good reason, because after a little restructuring there are always new things to talk about.
The first and more obvious new thing is that, starting this year, Saber Fazer has a new online shop!
My goal is to make available many of the tools and raw matter that I find or develop through the project. The initial selection is a bit focused on the textile theme, and even more on wool, but that's because the products will be a reflexion of the work and investigation that I'm doing at a given time.
So, to start, there are portuguese spindles, combed wool for spinning, yarn, books, illustrations. A small selection as a starting point. Each product has its own story, and I'll be talking more about that, but for now you can check them out at the shop.
The most recent addition was also a first for Saber Fazer: the publishing of poster and a book dedicated to teaching the name and function of each one of the most used tools in Carpentry and Joinery. For now, this is only available in portuguese, and I'm still to see if a translation to english is something I can manage to do at the time. But I'll talk more about this in the next post.
