From wool to colour, a guide for educational activities
It is not easy to design educational activities for all contexts and ages, we know! But if you have been following us, you may have noticed that lately we have been focusing on ‘teaching to teach,’ or in some way contributing to increasing the number of educators in the areas of crafts throughout the country.
One such contribution is this ‘Guide to Educational Activities - From Wool to Colour’ that we have developed as part of the CommunityCloth project!
This guide was developed to serve as inspiration and guidance in the development of educational proposals for anyone who wants to implement these ideas in their own work. The guide includes guidance for conducting practical workshops on wool and natural dyeing, scientific, artistic and cultural experiences, aimed at all types of audiences. From the youngest to the oldest, from small workshops to annual activities, we have developed 14 ideas for activities based on the areas of Wool and Natural Dyeing that we hope will inspire you to implement your own activities in your community!
This is a free digital publication, available in Portuguese and English, which you can download for free.
After training in the areas of Natural Dyeing and Wool from CommunityCloth, our students were challenged to develop some activities with their audiences in Portugal, Cyprus, and Romania.
