From capsule to seed

When we ripple the flax, right on harvest day, and if it isn't done too late, the capsules will still be closed, holding the seed inside.
Since this flax variety has dehiscent capsules, in order to release the seed all we need to do is place them under the sun and they will open up spontaneously. 
During the next fewdays a characteristic popping sound of the capsules opening individually was the soundtrack in my office, where I kept them.
