Breaking the flax

After retted and dried, it was time to take the flax we grew at Parque da Devesa to be ground. When the time came we went up north to grind it in this Flax break that I showed here before. I think that this is truly the first moment when we can see the flax fibers "appear" and so it is always very interesting to witness. It is also the moment when we really get to know if the flax is well retted or not.
So far, the calendar and goals of the Flax growing workshop were going as planned, and now we had our flax ready to be processed into linen!
