Saber Fazer at the Fall Festival - September 27, 2015

Save the date: sunday, the 27th of September, Saber Fazer will once again be present with two activities at the Festa de Outono in Serralves.
Just like year, you'll have the opportunity to learn basketry, weaving and spinning and other textile fiber related processed, from makers that make of these crafts their everyday work.

In the basketry part, we'll have Rosa and Manuel teaching, with the help of their two daughters, Epifânia and Flávia.
The basket makers will bring all the materials and tools from their workshop and will teach you to work with everything. For this event, their workshop will be open to everyone in Serralves.
In the textile side, we'll have again Guida Fonseca teaching to weave in several types of looms, with the help of Fernando.
Isabel Cartaxo, Eglé Bazaraite and Mafalda Pacheco will teach to spin wool, both with different types of spindles and spinning wheels.
I'll also be there teaching spindle spinning, just like last year.

This event is always open from 10am to 7pm and the entry is free.
It doesn't matter if you've never touched wicker or wool, if you already did it last year, if you are experienced or if you just want to see what this is about. We'll be very happy if ou show up.
