Planting the dye plants

At Parque da Devesa's urban gardens, right next to our flax field, the dyeing plants, or plants that can also be used in dyeing, have been already transplanted.
Japanese indigo, woad, madder, dyer's chamomile, dyer's coreopsis, saffron, calendulas, marigolds and yarrow. Not all of them germinated, like the dyer's weld, and madder was not easy as well, but it is a beginning and a learning process.
On the other side, japanese indigo was the most successful. We transplanted a few hundred plants in a 50m2 area, more or less.
