Preparing the flax for spinning

D.Maria shows us how to prepare the linen to be spun with a distaff and spindle. 
After being beaten, the linen must be combed with a iron tooth comb. The fibers will be organized in a vertical and parallel manner and, while it is kept to be spun, it is rolled up. 
When it is time to spin it, it will be opened and rolled on the distaff, keeping the fibers parallel.
