Programs for municipalities, schools, and cultural institutions
Saber Fazer works with local authorities, schools, cultural institutions and educational services to design and deliver educational programmes focusing on small-scale production techniques and natural textile fibres.
These efforts span four distinct areas, which can operate independently or be integrated into a single project.
Educational programs
Programs rooted in the local community, drawing on the region’s heritage, know-how, and resources. The work typically begins with a survey of what exists locally and, from techniques to artifacts, raw materials, and the people who still hold this knowledge. This mapping serves as the basis for educational content, manuals, and the structure of training programs, all aimed at preserving this knowledge.
Educator training and educational services
Initial and ongoing technical training, followed by support in planning and developing activities that each educator can carry out independently with their audience. We also work with educational service teams at cultural institutions that wish to incorporate these themes into their programming.
Educational activities for children
Design and facilitation, by our team of trainers and educators, of activities for schools and programmes for children and families, developed with the same technical rigour we apply to professional training.
Libraries of materials and tools
Creation and implementation of material, tool and equipment libraries for schools, municipalities and cultural institutions. We develop the operating model and the supporting resources needed for activities to be carried out independently and continue beyond our involvement.
Each programme is tailored to the local area, the organisation and its objectives. Find out about some of the educational projects we have developed over the years.
