"Silk - from Silkworm to Thread" Book

2023

The book Silk: From Caterpillar to Thread is a concise guide dedicated to the artisanal production of silk. Starting with the rearing of the silkworm (Bombyx mori), this book describes in detail the entire production process, right up to the extraction of the thread from the cocoons, aiming to serve as a resource for all those who, like us, are passionate about this natural textile fiber and would like to learn more about its small-scale production.
This publication is the result of research conducted by Saber Fazer since 2011, based on the actual processes involved in silk production.

Printed book (silkscreen-printed cover and digitally printed interior) and hand-bound in Porto.
