Flax - preparing the soil

Our flax was sowed a little bit later than it should have, by the 23rd of April. The plan was to do it two weeks earlier, at the end of March/beggining of April, but problems related with the equipment necessary to prepare the soil made us postpone it several times, and also change the location, and this date was the best we could do.
In perfect conditions, the soil preparation also should have been done a lot earlier, but my work on flax started a little bit on top of what is the right sowing season here in the north of Portugal, and there was not time enough to fertilize in advance.

So, in the 20th of April, the grounds for the flax crop was prepared.
First, we used the milling cutter to destroy the weeds, that had grown tall, and break the soil.
Next, the plow was used to turn the soil and bury the weed traces that were on the surface. And last, we used the harrow to even out the ground.
The weeds around the grounds were removed using an electric hedge trimmer.
