Spring, changes and news
The news that Spring brought was the beginning of a partnership with Francisco from BioHabitus, an organic agriculture project located right here in the Porto area, that will receive us to grow not just our linen, but also our dyer's garden.
It's going to be on his farm that we're going to grow our annual productions and host the activities related to these productions, like the Flax production course and the Natural Dyeing workshops.
Having our own production of the materials we work with have become increasingly important and differentiating and that's definitely something I want to keep investing in. That's why it became important to find a partner that is on the same page and shares the same goals so that we can make everything grow in a more stable way.
We had to make some changes and moves, like transplanting a few madder plants that we started last year but that are already showing beautiful red roots, and also bring our woad plants to flower inFranscisco place.
This change caused a small delay in the spring activities planning, but things are now on track. You can check here the program for the Flax production course and other workshops related to the theme.
Now we're off to plan sowing season if the rain gives us a break.
