The Flax field in Serralves
I haven't even talked about sowing the flax, that we did last April, but by now the flax has flowered and the seed capsules are maturing. I'll get around to talk about it, but I needed some time to organize information, take care of silkworms and plan a few more things I haven't talked about yet, and all along the flax was growing.
If you want to talk a look at our flax field, it is located in the Farm area, right behind the Barn. I posted a small map to make it easier to find (above). If you enter Serralves to visit the Gardens and the Farm, you'll be able to walk into the spot I marked.
In a few more days, the first seed capsule will open, and we'll have to do the harvest. And with the warm weather we have been experiencing, it shouldn't be long, so this is a good time to visit the flax field, that still has those beautiful characteristic purple flowers.
