The Same But Different: Revisiting, Rethinking and Renewing the Wool Crafts in Vinhais
Our intervention in the “Culture for All in Vinhais” project culminated in an exhibition that we inaugurated last August and which tells the story of the work we've been doing for almost two years.

Ana Rita de Albuquerque: artist-sculptor-inventor
Yes, I've known Ana Rita for years, she's been here to teach many, many times, but it's only now that I've been able to visit her at her studio! In fact, Miguel was the one who went to photograph her (that's why some of these images are his), but I was in tow and also took the opportunity to take some pictures (with his camera).

Here are some images from the Felting with Portuguese Wool workshop that Ana Rita de Albuquerque taught here last Saturday. We had a full house for a workshop that was a first for Saber Fazer, but will be the first of many.

Felting a mosaic of Portuguese wools?
The small exhibition about Portuguese Wool that I improvised for the Festa de Outono worked out really well, but the raw fleece samples were in such a natural state that it was really easy to fall apart when we touched it.
