Horns, eyes, tongues and fleeces: a devilish introduction to felting

Travelling to the land of a thousand devils to deliver training is not for everyone, but after Cultura para Todos, not only are we used to all the mischief and monstrosities associated with a trip to Vinhais, we actually look forward to going!
This year we started a new educational project there, following the lines of the previous one, also focused on training educators from the municipality who can later go on to run educational activities for all types of audiences.
The first session was dedicated to Felting, a technique we have been including more and more in this type of project, as it is not only incredibly versatile and undemanding in terms of resources and equipment, but also has tremendous creative and visual potential!
For this session, textile artist Ana Rita de Arruda, with whom we work exclusively in this area, created a set of pieces that involved learning the three techniques we consider essential: wet felting, needle felting, and raw fleece felting.

Our congratulations to this group of participants who, despite not even knowing what felting was on Saturday morning, worked with genuine enthusiasm over two intensive days. You've passed!
